These settings can be configured per-subtree via the _index registry. Settings not specified here inherit from database-level defaults.

height_strategy: Option<HeightStrategy>

Height strategy override for this subtree.

• None: Inherit from database-level strategy (subtree height omitted in entries)
• Some(strategy): Use independent height calculation for this subtree
